Latvia's President Egils Levits has welcomed Germany's decision to send Leopard 2 main battle tanks to Ukraine. Speaking to DW, he said: "We are of the opinion that we should help support Ukraine. Because it is the only way we can defend Europe. " The Latvian president went on and dismissed fears that Europe could be drawn further into the war, by sending more military aid to Kyiv.
